Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe introduces a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
